Residential Leadership College is a program designed to provide incoming students the opportunity to learn about leadership opportunities in the residence halls. The program will allow the participants to move into their housing early and will give them a chance to become more familiar with the University but more specifically the Department of Housing and Residential Life. This will be a program packed full of leadership activities and energizers to allow the participants a basic knowledge of leadership roles in residence life such as Student Staff, RHA, or Hall Governments. The program will also include speakers from the Department of Housing and Residential Life, a brief overview of leadership theory and concepts, introductions to leadership positions, and how Housing and Residential Life can help develop leadership skills. The participants will also hear from current Professional Staff, Student Staff, RHA Executives, and Hall Government members and they will discuss their experiences and why they chose to get involved in the hopes the program participants will get interested in one of those areas. This group would also be the move in crew for Move-In Day as well as help decorate their halls prior to move in.
