Outdoor Adventure 10 months, 2 weeks agoSo, any body have any favorite places to go to enjoy the outdoors, be it hiking, camping, climbing, boating, whatever?
Couple of my favorites are Wichita Wildlife Refuge down by Lawton, OK as well as Robbers Cave State Park near Wilburton, OK.

I’ve been boating at the Wichita Refuge. I’m from Lawton. But I’ve never been hiking around there. I go bouldering and hiking at Lake Tenkiller and the Illinois River by Tahlequah, OK.
Ahh, the refuge is a great place for hiking, even better when you get off the trails and just head out there (be mindful of how to get back though, haha). Camping there is pretty good too, though we usually wait till winter or so, when there aren’t so many people, nor heat.
I haven’t spent much time around Tenkiller, I may have to give it a shot.
I may have to go out there next time I’m that way.
Tenkiller is okay, you really have to hike to places. But there are quite a few bluffs. The same for the river area. And there’s a nature preserve by the river that has some nice places.
