Application

Incoming freshmen who want to be considered for the 2013-2014 Freshman Research Scholars program must submit this application on or before March 1, 2013 for priority consideration.

ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION

The Freshman Research Scholars programĀ is OPEN TO STUDENTS IN ALL MAJORS.

Generally students with a high grade point average and an ACT score of 27 or higher (or SAT equivalent) are most competitive. However, students who demonstrate a high level of analytical ability, intellectual curiosity or motivation are encouraged to apply. We are especially seeking qualified students from under-represented groups. Previous research experience is helpful but not required. Participation in The Honors College is not required.

  1. I cannot wait to start my life at OSU, it is going to be fun doing all the fun things that OSU has in store for me in the CASNR college. :3

    • I’m sorry to say the application period is closed for the 2013-14 Freshman Research Scholars program, but this does not mean that you cannot engage in meaningful research as a freshman. Please feel free to contact me about getting started in research at OSU.

  2. Our daughter, Kelsey Ray, is attending OSU in the fall. We received an email yesterday stating that even though the Freshmen Research Scholarship deadline has passed, that you are still accepting applications. We went onto the website and cannot figure out how to complete an application for this scholarship. Please let me know what we need to do.
