What do you most anticipate about life at OSU?
I am definitely looking forward to meeting the immense variety that will be at OSU. As you would expect, people from different places have different viewpoints on many subjects, and I have always enjoyed discovering how others view the world around us.
Pluto . . . Planet or Plutoid?
Plutoid
OSU football Coach Mike Gundy famously declared, “I’m a man! I’m 40!” When will you join the ranks of adulthood? How will you know?
I don’t know that you could ever truly know until you get there. Be it a sense of accomplishment, responsibility, or hope, I figure that when it comes to adulthood, you get there when you get there.
What’s your favorite Dr. Seuss book?
Oh the Places You’ll Go
If you could have one superpower, what would you want? Why?
The ability to teleport. I am definitely the exploration driven type. Being able to cover vast distances in the blink of an eye would be a big help in feeding my hunger for discovery.
Which Mythbuster is most like you: Adam, Jamie, Kari, Grant or Tory?
Jamie Hyneman
What television family would you most want to be a part of? Why?
While not technically a family, they might as well be, the crew from Warehouse 13. First off the general banter is absolutely hilarious. Then throw in historical artifacts with story driven powers. Yup, while being generally hazardous, it would be an absolute blast to be part of the Warehouse crew.
What’s your favorite midnight snack?
Cheetohs
What’s the best costume you’ve ever worn?
Georges Guynemer (I watched the history channel a lot with my dad when I was little)
If you had to live under the sea, which animal would you be? Why?
A lionfish. They have some of the most spectacular looks in the sea, but also pack a poisonous whallop. Also, I just have always found them kind of neat.
Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate or Dancing with the Stars?
Star Trek
What do you hope to accomplish in FRS?
I hope to gain experiences and information that I can eventually incorporate into the classroom, be it study skills or even my actual findings. Essentially, I am hoping to be able to use this program to enrich the education of my future students.
Anything else we should know?
I am definitely an information sponge. If you are in need of some worthless knowledge, look no further. I tend to grab every little factoid I can get my brain around. Sure, I may not ever use it, but who knows when I might need it. My stockpile of miscellaneous knowledge helped me out many times in Academic Bowl meets.
